Paxel Terms of Use

Effective Date: April 25, 2026

Overview. Paxel (“Paxel”) is a service operated by Y Combinator Management, LLC and its affiliates (collectively “Y Combinator”, “we”, “us” and/or “our”). These Terms of Use (the “Paxel Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Paxel website, tools, and related services (collectively, the “Services”).

Incorporation by Reference. Your use of Paxel is also subject to the Y Combinator Terms of Use available at https://www.ycombinator.com/legal#tou (the “YC Terms”), which are hereby incorporated by reference into these Paxel Terms. For purposes of the YC Terms, the Services are deemed part of the “Site”. To the extent there is a conflict between these Paxel Terms and the YC Terms, these Paxel Terms will control with respect to the Services. By accessing or using Paxel, you agree to be bound by these Paxel Terms and the YC Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

THE YC TERMS CONTAIN AN ARBITRATION AGREEMENT, WHICH WILL, WITH LIMITED EXCEPTION, REQUIRE YOU TO SUBMIT CLAIMS YOU HAVE AGAINST US TO BINDING AND FINAL ARBITRATION. UNDER THE ARBITRATION AGREEMENT, (1) YOU WILL ONLY BE PERMITTED TO PURSUE CLAIMS AGAINST Y COMBINATOR ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS, NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY CLASS OR REPRESENTATIVE ACTION OR PROCEEDING, AND (2) YOU WILL ONLY BE PERMITTED TO SEEK RELIEF (INCLUDING MONETARY, INJUNCTIVE, AND DECLARATORY RELIEF) ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS.

The Services. The Services include, without limitation, tools that analyze coding agent transcripts (e.g., Claude Code, Codex CLI, Cursor) and produce scores and narrative reports about how you build with AI. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Services at any time, with or without notice. The Services may be experimental, and features may change frequently. The Services are provided free-of-charge.

User Inputs. You may submit data, text, or other materials to the Services (“Inputs”). You represent and warrant that you have all necessary rights to provide such Inputs and your Inputs do not violate any law or third-party rights.

License to Paxel. By submitting Inputs, you grant Paxel a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, process, analyze, and store your Inputs including to provide the Services and improve and develop the Services. Inputs are considered User Content under the YC Terms; the license granted herein supplements (and does not limit) the rights granted under the YC Terms.

Outputs. The Services may generate results, analyses, or other outputs (“Outputs”). Outputs are provided for informational purposes only. Outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, incorrect, misleading or outdated. You are solely responsible for evaluating Outputs and any decisions based on them.

Third-Party Services. The Services may rely on or integrate with third-party service providers, including for data processing, storage, or analysis. By using the Services, you acknowledge and agree that Inputs may be processed by such third-party providers as necessary to provide the Services.

Acceptable Use. In addition to the restrictions in the YC Terms, you agree not to (i) use the Services to build a competing product or service, (ii) reverse engineer or attempt to extract underlying models, algorithms, or systems, (iii) use automated systems to access the Services, (iv) use the Services in a manner that exceeds reasonable usage or disrupts the Services, and (v) interfere with or degrade system performance or security.

Data. We do not guarantee that any Inputs or Outputs will be retained for any period of time. We may delete, modify, or restrict access to Inputs or Outputs at any time, including without notice. You are solely responsible for maintaining copies of any Inputs and Outputs you wish to preserve. Once deleted, data may not be recoverable.

Feedback. If you provide feedback, suggestions, or ideas regarding the Services (“Feedback”), you agree that we may use such Feedback without restriction or compensation to you. You acknowledge that Feedback is provided voluntarily and does not create any obligation of confidentiality or other duty on our part.

Privacy. Your use of the Services is subject to the Paxel Privacy Policy available at: https://paxel.ycombinator.com/privacy. To the extent there is any conflict between the Y Combinator Privacy Policy and any Paxel-specific privacy disclosures, the Paxel Privacy Policy will control with respect to the Services. We may process Inputs and usage data to operate the Services, improve functionality, and ensure security and integrity.

Disclaimers. THE SERVICES AND ALL OUTPUTS ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” WITHOUT LIMITING THE YC TERMS, WE MAKE NO REPRESENTATIONS OR WARRANTIES REGARDING THE ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, OR RELIABILITY OF OUTPUTS. THE SERVICES DO NOT CONSTITUTE LEGAL, FINANCIAL, INVESTMENT, OR PROFESSIONAL ADVICE. YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES IS AT YOUR SOLE RISK.

Limitation of Liability. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW: PAXEL AND Y COMBINATOR WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY WILL NOT EXCEED $100. This section supplements (and does not replace) the limitation of liability provisions in the YC Terms.

Termination. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time, including for violations of these Terms or the YC Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Services will immediately cease and we may delete your data in accordance with our policies.

Changes to These Terms. We may update these Paxel Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Services after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Paxel Terms.
